The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia announced today that Cambodian pepper has completed all export procedures to China, which means can now be exported directly to the Chinese market.
Twenty-eight pepper plantations and seven packaging factories are registered and licensed by the Chinese side for export.
The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia stated that in order to expedite the implementation of the Protocol on Hygienic Requirements for the Export of Pepper from Cambodia to China, signed jointly by the two sides in November 2022, the Customs Administration of The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia recently inspected the location of pepper plantations and pepper packing factories through a video conference on April 10-11.
Pepper is the first Cambodian agricultural product to be allowed to be exported to China in 2023 and also the first spice to be allowed to be exported to the Chinese market. Fresh News
